Two women, one apartment. Everything is just fine. Nora Silvestre is twenty-four, single, and a workaholic. She lives alone in her beloved, if cramped, apartment in Queens, New York City, focused on one thing making something of her writing career. Her friends think it’s unhealthy, and her siblings think she’s lonely, but if it were up to her, she’d trade sleep itself for success. Not that she doesn’t do that already. When Nora’s meddling sister gets her a roommate, Nora is forced to make space in her life for Skye Bayoumi. Gentle, perceptive, yet absolutely inscrutable, Skye makes Nora curious. She also makes really incredible pasta and has a lovely voice and never fails to notice when Nora hasn’t been sleeping. At the same time, Nora quickly learned that Skye hates talking about herself, hates talking about her past more, and hates talking about her family even more . As Nora endeavors to tear past Skye’s walls, she decides that maybe having a roommate isn’t so bad after all. The months pass, Nora works her butt off, and life becomes a constant state of she isn’t sure if she has her writing or a young woman named Skye to blame.
