Synopsis

E. E. "Ellie" Grayson writes men's blood and guts adventure books. Very few people know that "he" is a woman. Her latest book has been on the stands for only a few days when the powers that be in Washington discover that the book outlines an on-going Federal case. Enter the hero, "Mac" McAllister-an ace government investigator who happens to be a double for the hero of Ellie's BANNISTER SERIES books. She leads him a merry chase filled with plots and counter plots all the while believing he is a hot-shot New York publicity agent hired by her publisher. By the time she discovers who he really is, more than her PRIVACY has been invaded.
