Synopsis

No queen is above the law. Even Triune queens. After a victorious crusade against the Dauphine, Shara Isador hopes to enjoy peace and safety in her Arkansas nest. But she’s quickly reminded that the powerful, ancient vampire queen had centuries to plot her revenge on any queen who managed to kill her. Plus, there are still trapped queens in need of rescue, though their prisons are boobytrapped with thralls and goddess only knows what else. Shara refuses to abandon them to continued suffering for an eternity—but the risk is great. Healing another vampire queen is always a perilous endeavor, especially when they’re desperately ravenous queens likely driven insane by torture. If Shara sacrifices too much of her blood, it could not only rebalance the Triunes but also force her to give throat to another queen. For the Triune Executioner is a prize any queen would kill to steal from House Isador. The beating of war drums and ravens’ wings call House Isador to war once more. In the fight to protect her House, Shara will use any weapon at her disposal to purge the old blood and to keep what’s hers. Especially her beloved Blood.
