Synopsis

This book is a love story. A love story that takes place in a jungle. The year is 1991. The setting is an orphanage located on a river in Guatemala. Eleanor is a thirty-year-old American woman who has volunteered to look after the three to four-year-old children at an orphanage. As the storyline unwinds, the reader discovers a plot full of twists and turns of human follies. The characters are vibrant and absurd. At times, you will laugh. Narrated by Eleanor's introspection and a keen eye for the ironic, the reader will find the book to be a smartly written page-turner that's full of surprises.
