Synopsis

"The Red Saint" is a historical novel set during the time of King Henry III of England. Also known as Henry of Winchester, Henry III assumed the throne when he was only nine years old and remaining King until his death in 1272. Although Henry was charitable and cultured, he lacked the ability to rule effectively. In diplomatic and military affairs he proved to be arrogant yet cowardly, ambitious yet impractical. Following a serious political blunder, the barons of England required the King enact the Provisions of Oxford, which provided for the creation of a 15-member privy council. Those caught up in the struggle set the stage for a story befitting royalty... Action, murder, envy, intrigue, and romance.
