Synopsis

After three unsuccessful seasons, during which she earned the sobriquet "Cold Fish," Beatrice Sinclair had given up on marriage. Now determined to embrace her seemingly inevitable spinsterhood, Beatrice finds her secret dreams of romance reawakened when she stumbles into Charles Summerson, Marquis of Pelham, her sinfully sexy, temporary next-door neighbor. A self-avowed rake, Charles has no intention of being caught in the parson's mousetrap by any woman, though after meeting her, Charles does have a different kind of proposal in mind for the lovely Miss Sinclair. As Charles gets to know Beatrice better, though, he finds, much to his surprise, that his ideas of a dalliance are suddenly turning into thoughts of a relationship of a much more permanent nature.
