Synopsis

In June 1918, Stella Morris learned of her sister Pamela's secret wedding to Lord Julian Eden. But only days later, Julian's fighter plane was shot down and he was reported missing, presumed dead. A year later, Pamela is married for a second time, although her new husband doesn't know about her past. When Lady Eden, Julian's mother, learns that she has only months to live, she offers her daughter-in-law a home at Eden Hall. But Pamela is honeymooning in Paris, and beautiful, compassionate Stella takes her place in order to make the old lady's last days happy. Then Julian reappears, alive and well and eager to see his bride...
