When an American film crew arrive in town intent on discovering secrets from WWII Mattie finds herself having to face the shadows in her past she has always avoided. Meanwhile god-daughter Katie, returning to her home town to help Mattie, finds herself at yet another crossroad when she meets up with childhood friend Leo again. When the Americans unearth a family secret Mattie knows it is time to forgive and forget.
