Clare Thornton is stranded by a blizzard and finds her way to the nearest house which turns out to be the mountain home of movie star Logan Longcross. Assuming Clare is an adoring fan invading his privacy, Logan behaves rudely,and Clare determines to leave as soon as the roads are cleared. But right behind the snow plow is producer Marvin Hobbs, certain he will find his wife, Janine, in Logan's arms. Suddenly Clare is cast in the role of Logan's fiancee, to prevent Janine from maliciously ruining the movie deal Logan and Marvin are negotiating. And though it is not in the script, Clare finds herself falling in love.
