Synopsis
The rhythms and tempo of New York City are a lyrical, haunting accompaniment to this story of a young woman at a crossroads in her life. Twenty-six-year-old Gala, a Juilliard-trained oboist, was once poised on the brink of a promising career, but her dreams begin to unravel just as Tom, a violinist and her live-in lover, soars to success in the highly competitive arena of Manhattan's Lincoln Center. Determined to give herself one last chance to create the music she cares so passionately about, Gala tirelessly prepares for a crucial audition - that could lead to the artistic fulfillment and personal happiness that has thus far eluded her.
