Synopsis

He tried to break me. He doesn’t know you can’t break what’s already shattered. I was nothing more than a pawn in my father’s twisted games—until Lachlan O'Donnell claimed me as his wife. He gave me one night of passion before stripping me of my dignity, my pride, and my self-respect. But he wasn’t the only one who wanted vengeance, and when he carelessly gave me the opportunity, I took everything I wanted—including my power—and used his own weapon against him. And then I went after everyone else who dared hurt an innocent person. Lachlan says he regrets what he did to me. He vows to make things right—no matter what it takes. I don’t trust him, and I can’t ever let myself forgive him—especially not when I still crave his touch. When I’m offered a chance to join forces with him and execute the man who killed his brother, I reluctantly agree. Too many lives are at stake, and I can’t afford to let my feelings get in the way of taking down a monster. Lachlan has other plans. With every kiss, every loving word, and every sweet promise I can’t help but believe, I fall deeper under his spell, despite the danger to my heart. Can I forgive the man who tried to break me? Or will the past always hold us captive? This novel is for mature audiences. Please protect your mental health and read the content warnings.
