Returning to Carrigmuir after the death of her father, divorcee Janice Wakeford finds her sister, Sue, has become an angry and resentful stranger. Sue Duncan had expected to inherit Carrigmuir, and is furious about the terms of her fathers Will. She is determined to drive Janice out of the house. Janice believes that she can win back her sister's love but is afraid of the influence of the charming Irishman, Michael Boyd. Does Sue intend to marry him?
