Christina Davis is catapulted into the intrigues of a world that threatens her life, and may shatter her heart. Marooned amid high society, passion, and vengeance, Christina learns her only chance of safety lies in the complete seclusion of James Island until she meets Michael Rose. What begins in isolation becomes urgent need of love and companionship, and Christina finds herself torn between telling the truth and losing the love she never thought she would ever find. Michael Rose, a former merchant marine, is just back from months at sea reunited with his family prime and ready to start working with his father on the family business when he walks through a fresh market in downtown Charleston on a Sunday afternoon.
