Synopsis

Could she survive the pain of loving? On the cruise to exotic Gibraltar, where Prudence Wayne hoped to marry Philip Gorman, she met the cynical Vyvian Chard. Though Vyvian recently inherited a Spanish castle, his good fortune did nothing to change his bitter outlook on life. His wife Fleur, had left him for another man and then killed herself. So to him, Prue's childlike faith in her future with Philip, a man she'd known a short time, was foolhardy. His prophecy bore bitter fruit when Philip's desertion jilted Prue, and threw her into Vyvian's arms.
