Synopsis
Alice Tregowan and la Blewett were the best of friends until fate parted them. Their daughters, however, are destined to meet - and not happily. Grace is brought up in America, the pampered daughter of a doting stepfather. la's daughter, Francine, a darling of the music hall, is forced to make her own way in the world.
