Synopsis

A long-forgotten promise was never meant to decide her future. until it changes everything. When Leah Miller returns home after caring for a relative, she finds the family farm struggling, her father exhausted, and whispers of unpaid bills growing louder with every passing day. The last thing she expects to uncover while sorting through her grandmother’s belongings is a sealed letter containing an old agreement between two Amish families. A promise that one day their grandchildren would marry to save both farms. And one of those grandchildren is Matthew Beiler. Quiet, dependable, and carrying burdens of his own, Matthew wants no part in a marriage built on obligation. Neither does Leah. But as the community begins to talk and their families grow hopeful, Leah and Matthew agree to spend time together simply to ease the pressure. What begins as reluctant companionship slowly becomes something far more dangerous. Because beneath Matthew’s guarded heart is a kindness Leah never expected… and beneath Leah’s stubborn independence is a longing for a place to truly belong. But when old fears, family expectations, and painful misunderstandings threaten to pull them apart, Leah must decide whether love is worth risking everything she swore she would never lose. Her freedom, her future, and her heart. A deeply emotional Amish romance about family, forgiveness, faith, and choosing love freely. Perfect for readers who enjoy heartwarming stories filled with community warmth, gentle humour, and unforgettable romance.
