Synopsis

Tori McKinley is a single parent scarred by the aftermath of two tumultuous marriages. Resolute in her determination to shield herself and her young son from further pain, she pours her energy into finishing her degree at San Francisco State University. But when her path intertwines with an enigmatic new accounting professor, Tori’s fortitude is put to the test. Logan Ravenschall, a seasoned CIA operative known only as Raven, possesses a lethal combination of charm and cunning honed over two decades in the seductive but treacherous realm of the international elite. He needs every ounce of skill for his latest covert mission, one that alters the moment Tori steps in front of his desk. Propelled by an encroaching timeframe with little room for error, Logan wins Tori’s unwitting support with an opportunity she cannot resist—an internship in an idyllic tropical location. However, his past quickly intervenes, putting Tori and everyone she loves into danger. Even as the attraction between them grows, Raven has little hope for their future. Trust is a luxury neither of them can afford because the price of truth may prove too high. Author's This novel is the first installment of the Emerald Raven series and does not contain a neatly-wrapped ending.
