Synopsis

When Eva's film star sister Katrina dies, she returns to Cornwall, wehre they spent their childhood summers, to scatter Katrina's ashes and in doing so return her to the place where she belongs. But Eva must also confront the ghosts from her past as well as those from a time long before. For the house where she so often stayed as a child is home not only to her old friends the Halletts, but also to the people who lived there in the eighteenth century. Ehen Eva finally accepts that she is able to slip between the years, she soon finds herself falling for Daniel Butler, a man who lived - and died - long before she herself was born. Eva Ward returns to the only place the truly belongs, the old house on the Cornish coast, seeking happiness in memories of childhood summers. There she finds mysterious voices and hidden pathways that sweep her not only into the past, but also into the arms of a man who is not of her time. But Eva must confront her own ghosts, as well as those of long ago. As he begins to question her place in teh present, she comes to realize that she too must decide where she really belongs.
