Synopsis

Danger and passion, in a country at war. From the moment the ravishingly beautiful Adela lands in Canton, danger awaits her - first at the hands of the revolutionaires led by Sun Yat Sen, whose menace will overshadow much of the history of the last of the Manchu dynasty; and then from Marshal Yuan, who hopes to achieve his dreams of ultimate power in China through alliance with a princess.
