Andra Lee is a promising young actress and her film career seems guaranteed. But her fiancé, Trevor Goodwin determined that their future together lies in Cape Town, has other plans. She had fulfilled herself as an actress but never as a woman. She is prepared to comply until a vivid nightmare shatters her resolve. And as she sails towards South Africa, thinking only of the world she is leaving behind, the disturbing figure of her dreams comes into her life. Flack Sankey was right, really, about her being too reserved, too shy. But under it all there was a fire which wanted to be lit.
