In the 1940's few people ever heard of Postpartum Psychosis. Barbara wanted her three sons, husband, and mother-in-law dead. She wanted to be free from her life of drudgery. The urge to kill her family consumed her frequently. Ed, her husband, was a hardworking truck driver. When her husband was late from work she would pray that he had an accident. She pictured his truck hurtling down over a cliff to a firery end, and a smile would appear on her face. These were the people she should love the most. What possed her to have these feelings?
