Beautiful Harriet Metcalf has unexpectedly been made the guardian of twin heiresses and must sponsor them for a season in London. Renting the unlucky house at 67 Clarges St. run by the butler Rainbird, Harriet and her terrible dog attract the attention of a handsome marquess, who she mistakenly believes is interested in one of her young charges.
