What if you could travel back in time to the most glorious and decadent city of the ancient world? That’s what happens to Joe Andrews, a modern-day history teacher who finds himself in Pompeii, a year before its historic destruction. With no way home and no choice but to fit in, he becomes Iosephus Andrius, a respected scholar with a mysterious he knows what catastrophe the future holds. But his attempts to warn the people of Pompeii are met with hostility and danger. Chronos, the town’s official seer, considers him a rival and a threat, and a mysterious cult with a sinister agenda wants him dead.
