A late-night DNA discovery exposes a decades-old secret and forces three sisters to confront the truth about the family they thought they knew. This book is debut novel, written under a pseudonym Lisa Gold, as the author has chosen to protect the identity of the individuals involved. It is a fictionalized account of clandestine relationships, and the journey she took when she learned the man who raised her was not her biological father. Writing the book's ending was tremendously cathartic. It afforded her the opportunity for confrontation, which was impossible in real life, as all of the relevant parties were deceased at the time of the discovery. Excellent book club selection, complete with a reader discussion guide.
