Synopsis

Twenty-year-old Jedidiah Matthews has a life he only dreamed of a few years ago. He has a roof over his head, is engaged, and is getting his High School Equivalency Diploma. His livelihood, home, and future could be derailed by his identification of a girl his age who was also a victim of abuse. He only remembers she was pregnant when he dropped out of high school. Nineteen-year-old Maggie Jackson is thrilled to be engaged to the hot guy she watched run track in high school, but his past has already caused them problems. She wants to stand by Jedidiah but has reservations when a three-year-old child from his past is identified. She knows the right thing to do is to become a mother if the child needs a home, but they haven’t even set a wedding date. This contemporary Christian fiction explores the emotional and physical consequences of childhood physical and sexual abuse and its effects on relationships.
